Matcha Tea

Matcha is packed full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Matcha’s antioxidant levels are over twenty times higher than that of pomegranates or blueberries, and over sixty times that of spinach. Absolutely amazing!

The young green leaves in matcha tea are ground up whole and do not undergo processing of any kind, you end up ingesting all of their health-sustaining nutrients. Despite its caffeine content, matcha is also known to calm the nervous system and help relax the mind. This is due to the rare amino-acid, L-Theanine, which promotes a healthy brain function.

The matcha green powder tea is so rich in chlorophyll that even a single glass of this tasty, quick to make drink will give you an army of antioxidants that your body needs on a daily basis to fight everything from damaging UV rays, to radiation and toxic chemicals.

You may also burn some extra pounds in the process since green tea is known to improve metabolism.

Ingredients

.    1 Tbsp green matcha powder

.    1 Tbsp raw honey*

.    3/4 c almond milk, or any other nut milk of choice

Instructions

  1. Blend everything and enjoy! So easy! There are specific tea instructions for making this, which are also fun to try!

Notes

* You can use any natural sweetener of choice. I love raw honey as it is very nutritious and comes from a local farm.
